Providing Companionship and Support for Seniors in Bournemouth & Poole

“If you are looking for companionship and a helping hand with your household tasks and errands, Cally and her team are there for you.

Thoroughly honest, trustworthy, reliable, cheerful and caring, your befriender will be able to assist you in your home, take you to appointments, shopping and social engagements with your friends.

I look forward every day to having chat and having my meals prepared by one of the lovely befrienders.

I would not want to be without them.”

—  Mrs Davis, Canford Cliffs

A befriender is a familiar face that will visit you as often as you would like to spend some quality time with you.

They can also take you out to our arranged social events where you will have an opportunity to meet other seniors.

You are not alone...

There are lots of reasons why many seniors feel alone.

Such as loved ones passing, grown up children moving away and the on-going health challenges associated with ageing, and as we all know, feeling more and more isolated as you age can often have a negative impact on your physical and mental well-being.

It’s well documented that most of us don’t function at our best on our own. Not having anyone pop in for a cup of tea and a chat.

Not being able to get out occasionally to meet friends. Not having anyone close by to run you to the shops or for appointments and errands. It can become very frustrating and lonely. But it doesn’t have to be like this…

We will introduce you to a friendly, caring and supportive befriender who can visit you at home, take you out for trips to the shops or accompany you for appointments. Your befriender is also able to run errands for you, do your shopping or available to come round to your home for a cup of tea and a catch up.

It's your time and your choice...

During visits, it’s totally up to you what you would like to do. Many of our existing clients like to reminisce about their lives and take us through their photographs. Others enjoy playing a board game or going out for a walk. Sometimes we go shopping together or arrange to meet up with some of their old friends.

Your befriender visits as often as you would like. And we are happy to accompany you to organised social events, including lunch clubs, activity afternoons and tea/coffee mornings. It’s really up to you. We are very flexible around your needs.
